I'm a pianist and college music professor in the Boston area. This is not me. Neither is this. Curiously, these most Googleable Michael Monroe's are each musicians. This IS me.
To the left is a jukebox containing a variety of mp3's that I've posted as part of my multimedia musing mission. A smaller version of this jukebox resides on the MMmusing homepage. The first eight selections function almost like a little piano recital - then things start getting strange. Clicking on the titles below will lead you to the original blog post context.
A series of art songs recorded in impromptu versions for piano alone, intended to highlight beautiful accompaniments, although the vocal line is generally woven in as well.
* Piano blogging is here defined as "informally recorded performances that are posted in the same spirit as written blog posts - more about making a point than perfection of execution." (e.g. the piano isn't always tuned; the music isn't necessarily rehearsed, etc.) Note that the Songs Without Singers qualify here as well.
